At the foot of Tsambagarav Mountain, we operate a private seasonal ger camp created for cultural journeys, eagle hunter photography and tailor-made gatherings.
The camp stands on the summer grazing land of Shai Murat, a champion Kazakh eagle hunter and respected keeper of this tradition. Surrounded by open steppe, rugged mountains and Kazakh nomadic communities, it offers direct access to the living culture of western Mongolia.
Unlike a large public event, each private festival is arranged for one group. Its pace, locations and activities can be adapted for photography, filming or deeper cultural immersion.

Meet the master hunter
Shai Murat
One of the most meaningful aspects of this journey is its connection with Shai Murat, a champion eagle hunter whose summer grazing land became the setting for our camp.
Meeting an experienced hunter in his own landscape gives guests a deeper understanding of how an eagle is trained, how trust develops between hunter and bird and how the tradition passes from one generation to the next.

Our seasonal base
An 11-ger camp beneath Tsambagarav
The camp offers simple, comfortable accommodation suited to its remote mountain setting, with 11 traditional guest gers, a separate dining ger, prepared meals and solar-powered lighting.
This is not a permanent complex. At the end of the operating season, the gers are dismantled and stored for winter, helping protect the pasture and preserve the natural character of the site.

The camp normally operates from June through September. Festival arrangements depend on hunter availability, suitable weather and domestic flight schedules, so advance planning is recommended.

Practical planning
Getting to the camp
Guests normally fly from Ulaanbaatar to Ölgii, the capital of Bayan-Ölgii. Domestic schedules vary by season, so the final itinerary is planned around confirmed flight availability.
From Ölgii, the journey continues by private vehicle toward Altantsögts and the Tsambagarav Mountain region. Airport transfers, private vehicles, an English-speaking guide and full local arrangements can be included.

No. This is a tailor-made private gathering arranged for one group at a time. It is designed for travelers who value personal interaction, photography time and a quieter cultural experience.
How many eagle hunters can participate?+
Depending on the dates and local availability, we can normally coordinate approximately 10–15 Kazakh eagle hunters.
When does the ger camp operate?+
Our seasonal camp normally operates from June through September. The gers are dismantled and stored for winter to protect the pasture and preserve the natural setting.
Can the program be arranged for photographers or filmmakers?+
Yes. We can plan additional time, suitable locations and local coordination for private photographers, photography clubs, documentary teams and filmmakers.
