Mongolia hunting and fishing enquiries depend on rules that can vary by species, season, location and year. For that reason, we do not publish day-by-day programmes, hunting locations or fixed species availability on this page.
Tell us what you are interested in and when you hope to travel. We coordinate the relevant permit process and check the annual quota, legal season and other requirements. Once approvals and availability are confirmed, we send the detailed itinerary and arrangements privately.
An enquiry begins the planning process; it is not itself a permit or confirmed booking. We proceed when the required approvals, access and arrangements are confirmed.
What we can discuss privately
Ask about argali (wild sheep), ibex (mountain goat), deer, gazelle or wolf. We coordinate the special-permit requirements; any specific species and dates depend on current authorizations, quota and legal season.
We can plan guided taimen fishing around the applicable permit, water access, season and method rules. Catch-and-release requirements are confirmed for the specific trip.

Journeys in remote Mongolia need careful coordination as well as clear permit checks. Journey.mn is operated by Nomadic of the Blue Sky LLC, a Mongolia-based tour company established in 2010. We coordinate taimen fishing under the rules for the requested water and dates, and hunting enquiries under the current permits and quotas for the requested species and year.

Before you enquire
Why is the hunting itinerary not published online?
Species, permits, annual quotas, legal seasons and local arrangements can change. We do not publish a day-by-day hunting itinerary or promise an animal or date online. Contact us privately and we will first check what, if anything, is currently authorized and available.
Can I request argali, ibex, deer, gazelle or wolf hunting?
You may tell us which species interest you. This is an enquiry only, not confirmation that a hunt is legal or available. Any proposal depends on current Mongolian law, species-specific permits, annual quotas, legal periods and all other required approvals.
How do taimen fishing trips work?
Taimen fishing is handled separately from hunting and is subject to the applicable fishing permit, season, waterway and method rules. Catch-and-release may be required; we confirm the current conditions for a proposed trip before making an offer.
When are hunting expeditions available?
We do not publish fixed dates for these private enquiries. Timing depends on current regulations, permitted species and quotas, and whether the necessary approvals and local arrangements can be confirmed for your requested travel window.
